Poison in an "elite" Aqua Russia bottle: a stay at St. Petersburg’s five-star Four Seasons ends in severe poisoning for a Moscow resident

The manager of a manufacturing plant in the Moscow region was poisoned by bottled mineral water at the Four Seasons Hotel Lion Palace, one of St. Petersburg’s most prestigious hotels.

According to reports from SHOT ПРОВЕРКА, 54-year-old Irina, a Moscow resident, checked into the five-star hotel located directly across from St. Isaac’s Cathedral, where room rates start at 39,000 rubles per night. The woman claims she drank water from an "Aqua Russia" bottle provided to guests by the hotel. Irina noted a strange smell at first but initially dismissed it, assuming it was simply the natural taste of the mineral water.

However, a few hours later, Irina woke up in agonizing abdominal pain. She finished the rest of the bottle, and on the very last gulp, she felt something sticky in her mouth. According to her account, she spat out a "clot" of an unknown substance, wrapped it in a napkin, and went to the reception desk. There, staff allegedly insisted the water was of high quality and could not contain any impurities. Irina called an ambulance and was subsequently diagnosed with severe poisoning.

Irina claims she handed the mysterious substance over to the hotel doctor, who promised to conduct an analysis. However, it later emerged that the hotel representatives had thrown the sample away and stopped responding to the woman’s messages.
